Instrumental Standardettes® contain 100.0mg of the metal or ion in aqueous solution with appropriate preservative. Since the concentration in the ampule is relatively high, the concentrates exhibit excellent stability. The concentration in the ampule is 10,000 mg/L.
The usual dilutions for preparation of stock concentrates are:
1 Ampule to 100.0ml = 1000mg/L
1 Ampule to 1 liter = 100.0 mg/L

The Instrumental Standardette® designed for calibrating TDS / Conductivity meters is an ampule of aqueous potassium chloride formulated at 12.9 ± 0.05 mS/cm at 25°C. It may be used as is or diluted to the desired strength. Our certificate of analysis provides the actual lot analysis for the ampule, along with values for the ampule diluted to 100, 200 and 1000ml of deionized water. These dilutions enable one to prepare 1413, 718 and 147 μS/cm standards respectively at 25°C. Instrumental Standardettes® for calibrating TDS / Conductivity meters are available in boxes of 12 polyethylene ampules.
